The health of your gums is the foundation of a healthy, beautiful smile. As a university trained periodontal specialist, Dr. Price treats periodontal disease to retain teeth for as long as possible. Dr. Price utilizes dental implants when natural teeth can not be saved.
Our practice is limited to the placement of dental implants and the treatment of gum disease including recession. We care for single tooth implant and / or minor gum problems as well as complex implant and periodontal oral rehabilitation.
Ralph W. Price, DDS
Dr. Price obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia in 1979. He then served as a general dentist in the United States Air Force for four years.
After his service, he chose to pursue a specialty certification in periodontics and began a residency in 1983 at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. After earning his specialist certification in periodontology in 1985, Dr. Price began private practice in Arizona.
Dr. Price offers conservative treatment options with a focus on helping patients keep their natural teeth for a lifetime. He is noted for his personal attention to patients. This is summarized below by a member of his practice:
Devoted to helping colleagues as well as patients, Dr. Price is actively involved in academics. He participates in lectures and seminars throughout the United States.
He served as a Professor of Periodontics and Dental Implants at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. He also remains at the forefront of periodontal and dental implant technology through continual advanced education, earning well above the required number of continuing education credits.
Phoenix Magazine annually recognizes Top Dentists in the Phoenix area, as voted by metropolitan Phoenix area dentists. In the August 2019 issue, they noted sixty-one dentists and specialists who had received at least 10 Top Dentist Honors. Dr. Price was recognized as having more than ten selections for the years 2003 to 2019. Dr. Price has treated many dentists, oral surgeons, endodontists, fellow periodontists, and their families.
Dr. Price is an active member of national and local professional organizations, including:

Dr. Price is married with two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, biking, hiking and reading. Dr. Price and his wife enjoy participating in community service projects.

Every patient is unique, and we are committed to providing you with quality periodontal and implant therapy based on your individual needs. Above all else, we want to make your visit to our office a pleasant experience.
What to Bring on Your First Visit
If you received or downloaded our welcome packet prior to your first visit to our office, please bring the completed forms with you to your appointment. Otherwise, please arrive a few minutes early to allow time to complete the medical/dental health questionnaire and the patient information form.
Also, bring your insurance cards for us to copy. If your general dentist has given you a written referral or x-rays, please remember to bring them with you to your appointment.
What to Expect on Your First Visit
• Review of your complete dental and medical history form
• Review of your dental x-rays and/or taking new x-rays as required
• Oral and soft tissue exam
• Cancer screening
• Occlusion and bite check
After a thorough exam, Dr. Price will discuss his findings, present treatment plan options and answer any questions you may have about treatment. Our goal is to help you come to an informed decision regarding care.
